Counsellor - Nicky Driscoll   Nicky is a qualified counsellor with extensive experience in working with individuals struggling with addiction. She adopts a person-centred  approach to counselling and is practiced in the use of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and solution focused therapy. Nicky also incorporates mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her work. Addiction counselling services are delivered within a harm minimisation framework. Qualifications: Bachelor Human Services (counselling Major), Diploma of justice, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate III Fitness  Currently studying: Graduate Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies, and a Diploma of Youth Work. Professional Membership and Affiliation: Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association Inc. Queensland Aids Council (QuAC), and LGBTI Mental Health Professionals Network (MHPN). Nicky also works part time for the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC) as an Education Adviser and is very passionate about working with students and preparing them for the counselling profession.
